About TetherWiki

TetherWiki is an independent reference work about Tether (USDT), the stablecoin sector, and the blockchain infrastructure these assets run on. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Tether Limited, Tether Operations Limited, Bitfinex, iFinex, or any stablecoin issuer.

Who publishes this site

TetherWiki is published by Loud Louder Lüders AB, a company registered in Sweden. Carl Vernersson is the responsible publisher and holds final editorial accountability for everything on the site, including factual accuracy and the handling of corrections.

How articles are written

TetherWiki articles are drafted with the assistance of large language models and then reviewed against primary sources before publication. We think readers are entitled to know that, so we say it plainly rather than implying every article was typed by hand.

What that assistance does not mean is that generated text is published unchecked. Our sourcing policy describes the citation requirements an article must satisfy, and our editorial policy describes the review it goes through.

How contributors are credited

Articles carry a byline from one of a small number of consistent pen names, each covering a defined subject area — reserves and attestations, regulation, on-chain data, and so on. These are editorial identities, not real individual people, and we do not claim otherwise: you will not find invented job histories, qualifications, or headshots attached to them.

Pen names are common in crypto journalism and research, and we use them for consistency of voice and subject coverage. Accountability does not sit with them. It sits with the named publisher above. The full list is on the editors page.

Corrections

When we get something wrong we fix it and say so. Every substantive correction is recorded in the public corrections log with the date and what changed. If you have spotted an error, email editorial@tetherwiki.com and tell us which page and which claim — a source we can check speeds things up considerably.

How this site is funded

TetherWiki is funded by display advertising and affiliate arrangements. Advertising and affiliate relationships never determine what we write, and no issuer, exchange, or protocol pays for coverage or for favourable treatment. Where an article discusses a company we have a commercial relationship with, that does not change the sourcing requirements it has to meet.

What this site is not

Nothing on TetherWiki is financial, investment, legal, or tax advice. Stablecoins carry real risks, including the risk that an issuer’s reserves do not perform as described. See our disclaimer for the full statement.
