Editorial Policy
Last updated: October 6, 2026
1. Scope and accountability
This policy covers every article on tetherwiki.com. Editorial accountability rests with Carl Vernersson as responsible publisher for Loud Louder Lüders AB. See About TetherWiki.
2. Neutral, encyclopedic tone
- Articles describe; they do not recommend, promote, or predict.
- Promotional language (“best”, “leading”, “revolutionary”) is rejected automatically before publication.
- Where a subject is contested — the composition of Tether’s reserves is the obvious example — we state what the issuer claims, what independent parties have found, and what remains unverified, and we attribute each.
- No first or second person. No addressing the reader.
3. Use of language models
Articles are drafted with large language model assistance and reviewed before publication. We disclose this rather than hiding it. Two consequences follow, and we treat both as hard rules:
- No unverified figures. A model cannot know a current supply figure, market capitalisation, or reserve breakdown. Articles either cite a dated primary source for a number or describe it qualitatively. Guessed numbers are a correction-grade error, not a stylistic preference.
- No stale “as of” dates. Time-sensitive claims are qualified with the month the claim was actually checked, taken from the system clock, never from a model’s recollection.
4. Automated publish gates
An article must clear these deterministic checks before it can publish. They run on every article, and failing any one of them holds the article as an unpublished draft for human review:
- Citations. At least four citations across at least three distinct domains, including at least one primary source. Publisher tag, category, author and search pages are rejected as citations, as are bare hostnames. See our sourcing policy.
- Link integrity. No internal link may be spliced inside a URL or inside a word. This check exists because a defect of exactly that kind once affected almost every article on the site.
- Tone. Promotional vocabulary and first/second person are stripped or flagged.
- Structure. Correct heading hierarchy, a lead section, and a references section.
5. Internal linking
Internal links point only to entities specific enough to be worth a link. Ordinary English words that happen to be article titles are explicitly excluded, so you will not see the word “across” or “assets” turned into a link in running prose.
6. Review dates
Each article shows when it was last reviewed. That date reflects an actual editorial pass over the content, not an incidental database write. Automated repairs to markup do not change it.
7. Corrections
Substantive factual errors are corrected and logged publicly in the corrections log, recording the date and what changed. Typographical fixes are made silently. Report an error to editorial@tetherwiki.com.
8. Independence and conflicts of interest
TetherWiki is funded by advertising and affiliate arrangements and is not affiliated with any stablecoin issuer. No advertiser, affiliate partner, issuer, exchange, or protocol has any input into editorial content, and none is offered the opportunity to review an article before publication.
9. Not advice
TetherWiki publishes reference material, not financial, investment, legal, or tax advice. See the disclaimer.
